Info

The Info page is where Game Masters share campaign‑specific details that don't fit neatly into rules or quests. Think starting equipment, world lore, character creation guidelines, NPC directories, cultural notes, or any extra context the party might need.

Like the Rules page, Info entries support Markdown for rich formatting, and the page includes its own Table of Contents and category grouping.

Tip: Use Rules for gameplay mechanics and house rules, and Info for world‑building, flavour, and campaign‑specific reference material.

Markdown Support

The body of every Info entry uses Markdown with GitHub Flavoured Markdown (GFM) support. You can format content with headings, bold, italic, bullet lists, numbered lists, tables, strikethrough, and links, exactly the same as on the Rules page.

Each entry also has a separate description field (plain text) that appears as a subtitle below the title on the card, giving readers a quick summary before they read the full body.

Creating an Info Entry

GM only

Click "Add Info" and fill in:

  • •Title (required): the heading for this entry.
  • •Description (required): a short plain‑text summary shown as a subtitle on the card.
  • •Category : choose from a predefined list (General, World Lore, Character Creation, Setting, NPCs, Locations, History, Culture, Religion, Politics).
  • •Content / Body (required): the main text. Supports Markdown for rich formatting.
  • •Order : a number that controls the sort order within a category. Lower numbers appear first.

Predefined Categories

Unlike Rules (which uses free‑text categories), Info entries choose from a predefined list of categories:

Entries are grouped by category on the page and sorted by their order value within each group, just like Rules.

Table of Contents

The Info page includes the same Table of Contents as Rules:

  • •Desktop: a fixed sidebar with clickable links to each entry, organised by category.
  • •Mobile: a collapsible "Quick Navigation" card at the top.

A Back to Top button is always available in the bottom‑right corner.

Custom Background Image

GM only

GMs can set a background image for the Info page by clicking the "Background" button. Paste a direct image URL (e.g. from Imgur or Google Drive) and the image will render as a subtle backdrop behind all content.

This is a great way to add visual flavour, such as a parchment texture, a map, or artwork that fits your campaign's theme.

Searching & Filtering

  • Search: text search across titles and descriptions.
  • Category filter: button bar to show entries from a single category or all at once.

Editing & Deleting Info Entries

GM only
  • Edit: update the title, description, category, body, or order.
  • Delete: permanently remove the entry. This cannot be undone.

Players can read all Info entries but cannot create, edit, or delete them.

Example Workflow

Here's how the Info page might be used:

  1. 1The GM creates an entry under "Character Creation" titled "Starting Equipment" listing what each class begins with.
  2. 2A "World Lore" entry titled "The Five Kingdoms" describes the political landscape using Markdown headings for each kingdom.
  3. 3The GM sets a parchment background image to give the Info page a fantasy feel.
  4. 4A player checks the "NPCs" category to remind themselves about an important quest giver before the session.
