Updates

The Updates page is your campaign's announcement board. It's the first thing players see when they open the campaign navigation, making it the perfect place for session recaps, important notices, plot developments, or anything the whole party should know about.

Updates are displayed in reverse‑chronological order (newest first) and are paginated (10 per page), so the list stays manageable even after months of sessions.

Tip: Use updates to keep a running log of your adventure: they double as a great session diary you can look back on later.

Posting an Update

GM only

Only Game Masters can create updates. Each update has a title (up to 100 characters) and content (up to 2 000 characters).

  1. 1Navigate to the Updates page from the campaign navigation bar.
  2. 2Click the "Add Update" button at the top of the page.
  3. 3Enter a title and the update content in the dialog that appears.
  4. 4Confirm: the update is published instantly and visible to all campaign members.

Editing & Deleting Updates

GM only

Game Masters can edit or delete any update in the campaign, not just ones they authored. This keeps the announcement board clean and accurate.

  • Edit: Click the edit button on any update to change its title or content.
  • Delete: Click the delete button and confirm. Deleted updates cannot be recovered.

Reading Updates (Players)

Players have read‑only access to the updates page. You can scroll through all announcements and navigate between pages, but you cannot create, edit, or delete updates.

If you think something should be changed, let your Game Master know: they can update or remove any post.

Example Workflow

A typical session‑to‑session update flow:

  1. 1After session 3, the GM posts an update titled "Session 3 Recap" summarising what happened: the party cleared the goblin caves and found a mysterious map.
  2. 2Before session 4, the GM posts "Session 4: What To Expect" with a brief teaser and any rules reminders.
  3. 3A player notices a detail in the recap is wrong. They message the GM, who edits the update with the correction.
  4. 4Months later, the party can scroll back through the updates to remember key plot points and decisions.
